Will you forgive me if I give you a word from my experience here?

 

MOST organizations DO NOT NEED Microsoft Office since VERY FEW people use ANY of the advanced options contained in it. Due to these advanced options the product has become slower and slower.

Right now I am using Softmaker Office and found NOTHING it cannot do or import from MS Office. I have headers and footers created for various purposes and they are imported into Softmaker Office just fine exactly the same as they were created in Word.

Softmaker Office is VERY USER-FRIENDLY APPEARING VERY SIMILAR TO MS OFFICE 2003 which I did like. I personally find the RIBBON in 2007 confusing for what I need to do.

The other thing I have noticed is that menu items I used to use and KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEY WERE are now hidden somewhere in the RIBBON.
